Jennifer Owen began riding nearly thirty years ago riding hunt seat at a barn up the road from her house, before discovering Saddlebreds and Saddleseat riding at the age of 10. As the years passed, the passion for horses grew despite periodic breaks for college, careers, and life changes. The love of horses led to the idea of Midwest Saddleseat Consignment Apparel, which blossomed in 2011.
As exhibitors, all experience growth spurts, desperately searching for appropriate pieces for catch rides, or realize, at the last minute, that have lost their vest or gained a few extra pounds. Over the years, closets seem to accumulate vests, shirts, and suits that are no longer worn and they just gather dust. Jen decided there needed to be a place where people would solve these dilemmas and find elegant riding apparel at an affordable price. MSCA's goal is to help the numerous horse families on both ends by creating a new look for the show season, as well as allowing competitors to achieve a return on their suiting investments.

Jen currently rides with Bob Jensen Stables in Minnesota and owns a Saddlebred named Thrill Ride. Over the years, Jen has fond memories of showing great horses such as CH May Issue, CH-EQ Heirronic, CH Callaway's Newsmaker, The Last Shot, Reedann's Love to Fly, and her first Saddlebred, Santana Claus.
